Course Overview

Instructed by Chief Ron Glidden (Ret.), this training explores the fundamentals of firearms licensing and enforcement, with particular emphasis on recent legislative changes that took effect on October 2, 2024. Participants will gain current understanding of modified interpretations, updated licensing procedures, and new operational guidelines stemming from the recent law. The program delivers the most current information available at the time of instruction. Attendees receive an updated copy of the Law Enforcement Guide to Firearms Law as part of the course materials.

Course Description

The MPI Firearms Legal Update, instructed by Chief Ron Glidden (Ret.), will cover everything you need to know regarding firearms licensing and enforcement, including the most recent changes in firearms law implemented on 10/2/24. Learn about the many changes in interpretation, licensing practices, and guidelines that have occurred since the enactment of the new law. This class will provide the most up-to-date information available as of the date of the class. The cost of the training includes an updated edition of the Law Enforcement Guide to Firearms Law.
