Internal Affairs Certification Program

This comprehensive 4-week online certification course is designed for law enforcement professionals seeking to develop expertise in conducting proper and effective internal investigations. The program runs virtually, meeting once per week for three weeks and 1.5 days during the fourth week, eliminating travel costs while maintaining the same rigorous quality as traditional in-person 4.5-day certification training.

The course is led by Attorney Eric Daigle and the experienced DLG Learning Center staff, delivered through a state-of-the-art virtual learning platform. No prior experience in internal affairs is required to participate.

Participants will learn how to enhance effectiveness in operations and management of use of force incidents, and how police agencies can conduct thorough investigations and audits to ensure compliance with established policies and training requirements.

Schedule and Format

The program begins on Thursday, September 3, 2026, and runs for four consecutive weeks with the following session schedule:

Week 1: September 3, 2026 – 10 AM – 1 PM EST and 2 PM – 5 PM EST

Week 2: September 10, 2026 – 10 AM – 1 PM EST and 2 PM – 5 PM EST

Week 3: September 17, 2026 – 10 AM – 1 PM EST and 2 PM – 5 PM EST

Week 4: September 24–25, 2026 – 10 AM – 1 PM EST and 2 PM – 5 PM EST on September 24, plus 10 AM – 1 PM EST on September 25

All sessions are conducted in Eastern Standard Time.
