This comprehensive training program equips law enforcement professionals with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to conduct thorough and professional investigations of homicide cases, whether serving as a first responder or lead investigator.
Throughout this course, participants will explore the various classifications of homicides they may encounter in the field along with appropriate investigative methodologies for each type. The curriculum covers systematic crime scene management procedures, beginning with the initial response and continuing through detailed documentation and evidence preservation. Participants will also gain insight into how contemporary forensic technologies and scientific methods can enhance investigative effectiveness.
In addition to crime scene investigation, the program addresses criminal personality profiling techniques, advanced interrogation methods, and strategies for managing media relations during death investigations.

Target Audience:
This course is designed for patrol officers, newly assigned detectives, experienced investigators, investigations supervisors, crime scene technicians, medical examiner and coroner investigators, and military investigative personnel. Enrollment is restricted to sworn law enforcement officers and personnel directly assigned to law enforcement agencies.
