Course Overview
This intensive four-day program equips law enforcement professionals with comprehensive knowledge of cellular technology and data analysis techniques essential for modern criminal investigations. The curriculum combines theoretical instruction with extensive hands-on experience, featuring over twenty-five practical exercises designed to strengthen participants' competency in interpreting and analyzing cellular records.
Course Content
Day 1: Participants are introduced to the range of law enforcement resources and tools available for investigative work. The day covers cellular technology fundamentals, industry terminology, and the evolution of cellular systems. Students receive training on CellHawk software functionality and its application in analyzing call detail records and other investigative data sources collected by law enforcement agencies.
Day 2: Students work with authentic call detail records (CDRs) obtained from major cellular service providers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. Comprehensive instruction covers proper interpretation of these records and the insights they provide for investigations.
This course is ideal for investigators, law enforcement personnel, and professionals involved in criminal investigations who need to enhance their technical proficiency with cellular data and analytical tools.
