Ridgefield Police Department

Ridgefield Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency, located in Northern New Jersey 3 miles west of the George Washington Bridge. We have 30 full time sworn Officers, 4 SLEO's assigned to our schools and approximately 20 Special Police Officers. Our agency has a patrol division, detective bureau, juvenile division, traffic division and community policing unit. Candidates selected receive comprehensive training both at the Bergen County Police Academy and in our Borough, by senior Officers. We handle between 14,000-15,000 calls for service per year.

About Us

Ridgefield is a diverse and vibrant community located 3 miles west of the George Washington Bridge. We have a residential population of approx. 11,000. We maintain our own school district, recreational programs, department of public works, volunteer fire department and police department.
