Deputy Sheriff Applications Now Being Accepted
The St. Mary's County Sheriffs Office, located in St. Mary's CountyMaryland, is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. The applications will be accepted on a ongoing basis until the positions are filled. Applicants will be pre-screened for any criminal, civil, domestic, or traffic infractions. Once they are pre-screened they will receive notification of the next physical agility and written test date. Both are done on the same day which is an advantage to those traveling from out of state.

Once hired you are paid to participate in the Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy. It is a 27 week PoliceAcademy. Once completed you will continue onto a field training program upon completion of both of these you will be a certified Deputy Sheriff for Maryland.
