Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent. An associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in community engagement, parking enforcement, or public service is desirable, but willing to train the right applicant.
- This position requires the candidate to work independently and in all weather conditions.
Job Description/General Duties:
This unique position blends community outreach with parking enforcement, helping to keep our neighborhood safe, welcoming, and accessible for all. The Community Resource Officer acts as a bridge between local government services and the public, fostering trust, promoting public safety, and supporting community members' access to vital resources.
This position is responsible for monitoring and enforcing local parking ordinances, issuing warnings and citations for violations, assisting in resolving parking disputes and concerns, and providing civil fingerprinting services. The ideal candidate will serve as a resource and provide information on the Town’s programs to owners, residents, businesses, the general public, and other Town departments. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability are desired.
