Seeking Police Training Unit Intern
(Onsite only)

We are looking to hire talented students for our Summer Internship Program who can help initiate our solution-based business model to the next level. As an intern at NJ Transit, you will oversee projects from concepts to completion. Our interns step away from the regular sitting at the desk to having the opportunity at hands-on experience with several other business units within NJ Transit. Our ideal candidate is passionate about learning and using creative solutions to make an impact on the lives of others every day.
Objective of this role:
- Assist with role playing sceniors involving simulation (similar to paint ball)
- Assisting with martial arts training, cleaning weapons, filing, assisting at range and other tasks as they arise
- Organizing gear and supplies
- Reviews new techniques, advancements, and or approaches that should be applied in field
- Document pre academy activity
- Filing and data entry, related to training
Skills and Qualifications:
- Working towards a degree in Criminal Justice, Pursuing Law Enforcement or Homeland Security (Sophomore, Junior, or Graduate Student)
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, as well as producing and delivering presentations
- Proficient in software applications, such as Microsoft Office
- Dependable, able to work well with other people as well as follow directions properly
- Other job responsibilities as required

Hourly Rate: $12-$22
