Special Law Enforcement Officer Class 3
The Hillsdale Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of Special Law Enforcement Officer Class 3 for the Pascack Valley High School. Hours may vary.
All applicants must complete an application. Returned applications must be accompanied by the following:
- Applicant’s cover letter
- Detailed resume
- Letter of Good Standing issued from agency in which officer retired listing date and type of retirement.
- Photo copy of the applicant’s valid New Jersey driver’s license
In order to apply for the position you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be a retired police officer who has previously served as a duly qualified, fully trained, full-time officer in any municipality or county of this state, or as a member of the New Jersey State Police, and must be living in New Jersey.
- Must possess a New Jersey Police Training Commission Basic Police Officer Certification or NJSP Academy Certification.
- Must have retired in good standing from previous law enforcement agencies.
- Shall not have retired no more than 3 years ago.
- Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license with less than 3 points.
- Must successfully complete psychological and medical examination.
- Shall be in good physical condition to meet the demands of the job requirements.
