 SLEO CLASS III POLICE OFFICER

The Bogota Police Department is accepting resumes for position of Class III Police Officer.

 

Minimum Requirements:

1- Must be a retired law enforcement officer, less than 65 years of age, who served as a duly qualified, fully trained, full-time officer in any municipality or county of this State or as a member of New Jersey State Police and was separated from that prior service in good standing, within (3) years of appointed to this position.  

2- Must be able to produce a letter of good stand issued by the agency from which they retired to include the date and type of retirement.

3- Must be physically capable of performing the functions of the position, determined in accordance of the Police Training Commission.

4- Must possess a New Jersey Training Commission Basic Police Officer Certification or New Jersey State Police Academy Certification.

5-Must possess a valid New Jersey Driver License.

6- Must successfully pass a background investigation to include a medical exam, drug screen and psychological exam.

7- School Resource Officer Training will be required within one (1) year of employment. Preference may be given to officers who are already SRO trained and have served as an SRO.

 

The starting salary for the Class III Special Police Officer shall be $35.00 per hour.
