About the Natick Police Department


Department Overview:
The Natick Police Department is a full-time full service municipal law enforcement agency consisting of 60 sworn officers and a total of 110 total staff members. Sworn staff includes Chief, Deputy Chief, four Lieutenants, eleven Sergeants and forty-three Patrol Officers. Civilian Support Staff includes: eleven Full Time Dispatchers, one Animal Control Officers, three Administrative Staff Support and two Parking Enforcement Officers. The Natick Police Department offers several specialty positions for career advancement to include Investigations Unit, Motorcycle Unit, K9 Officer, School Resource Officers, Traffic Enforcement/ Crash Investigation, Drone Unit, Bicycle Unit as well as Regional Drug Task Force and Federal Task Force Members.. The department is also a member of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) that offers regional response opportunities for SWAT members, Regional Response Team, ATV Units, School Threat Assessment and Response Team, DRONE Unit, Motorcycle Unit, K9 Unit and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team.

Information about the community/area you serve:
The Town of Natick is located 10 miles west of the City of Boston and approximately 25 miles from the City of Worcester and is considered the center of the Metrowest region and considered part of the Greater Boston area. Natick is also part of the Golden Triangle, a center of commerce, research and retail and also home to the largest mall in the northeast, the Natick Mall. Natick has a population of approximately 37,006 as of the 2020 census. Natick has an area of 15.99 sq miles and 125 miles of roadways. Natick is also the sight for miles 8-12 of the famous Boston Marathon
