The  Borough of Peapack and Gladstone is located in the hills of northern Somerset County.  The Borough is approximately six square miles, with a population of just under 2,600 people. There are two NJ Transit stations in the Borough.  The Gladstone Branch is a commuter rail line operated by NJ Transit from Gladstone station which runs to either Hoboken Terminal or New York Penn Station. It is one of two branches of the Morris & Essex Lines.

The Peapack and Gladstone Police Department is very community oriented.  We have highly motivated officers who go above and beyond to serve our residents. Traffic enforcement is our other top priority.  We are very proactive.  Officers will have opportunity for upward mobility within the department.  There are also specialized County teams we currently have officers assigned to (SWAT, Dive Team, Crash Reconstruction, Narcotics, etc).  Our officers handle different types of incidents every day.  You will not be assigned to a specific unit which has you doing the same work day in and day out.  From first aid calls to burglaries to motor vehicle crashes

We are currently seeking one full-time officer to bring our total number to eleven.
