The Montague Police Department consists of 18 full-time officers. We have the Chief, Lieutenant, Staff Sergeant, (4) Sergeants, two School Resource Officers-one with comfort dog K-9 Mac. We also have 3 detectives & Artie patrol K-9.

The Town of Montague is located in Franklin County and is the second largest Town next to Greenfield. Our Town is made up of 5 very distinct villages, Turners Falls is the largest with the highest population. We also have the villages of Montague Center, Lake Pleasant, Montague City and Millers Falls. We border The Connecticut River and the Town of Greenfield.
