The primary purpose of the Lititz Borough Police Department is the protection of the life and property of the community and all who visit through fair, unbiased and equitable enforcement of the law.  The Lititz Borough Police Department will endeavor to provide the community with piece of mind through diligent patrol, effective leadership, training and public education.

The Lititz Borough Police Department started a Bike Patrol Unit over ten years ago with two custom built Cannondale Mountain Bicycles.  In 2005 we added two 2006 Trek Police Bicycles to our fleet through a fund raising Basket Bingo.  All members of the Lititz Borough Bike Patrol are certified through the International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA).  The IPMBA certification course takes five days to complete.  The Bike Patrol Unit is a valuable asset to the Community Oriented aspect of the Lititz Borough Police.  Currently the Bike Patrol Unit is used for a variety of different tasks including; patrols in neighborhoods, parks, trails, downtown district and special events like parades and the Forth of July.
