POLICE OFFICER

Certified (IGT) and Full Time Class II (Waiver Eligible)

The Bordentown Township Police Department is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer. We are currently accepting applications from certified candidates who possess a NJ PTC License as a full-time Police Officer and are currently employed through a Civil Service Agency making them eligible to participate in the IGT/ITP program, OR certified candidates who possess a NJ PTC License as a Class II Officer who are waiver eligible.

All applicants must pass medical, psychological and drug exams as well as a background investigation and an oral interview prior to appointment.

  • Starting salary for 2026 certified officers begins at $63,752, with top pay reaching $133,224 after 11 steps (2028). Starting salary may be negotiable based on experience.
