Paulsboro Police Department
The Paulsboro Police Department is pleased to announce the acceptance of the 2023 Community Oriented Policing Services (C.O.P.S Office) grant which will allow the Police Department to expand its ranks with two additional positions.
PLEASE NOTE THAT APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 4/1/2024.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified in Basic Course for Police Officers by the NJ Police Training Commission, OR
- Currently enrolled in a Police Training Commission certified NJ Police Academy, OR
- Certified as a NJ Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II AND meet the requirements set forth by the NJ Police Training Commission and be eligible for a waiver to Basic Course for Police Officers.
Additional Requirements:
- 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age at time of appointment;
- Must be a resident of New Jersey and citizen of the United States;
- Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license;
- Applicants must be of good moral and ethical character.
Process:
- Detailed application;
- Initial oral interview process;
- Command level interview process with Paulsboro Police Administration;
- Complete and pass an extensive background investigation;
- Complete and pass a psychological and medical examination to include a drug screening test.
Benefits:
- Starting salary $47,500 - $76,600. Salary is directly dependent upon prior experience

- 2024 Top Patrol Officer Base Salary: $107,775.00
