Job Announcement:

The Middlesex Borough Police Department, in collaboration with the Middlesex School District, is hiring Class III Special Law Enforcement Officers to provide police security at the Middlesex Public Schools and related events. 

Interested, qualified candidates should complete a preliminary employment application, which will be submitted through PoliceApp for evaluation. 

At a competitive pay rate of $42.50 / hour, qualified Class III Officers will be assigned to various school security functions across the Middlesex Public School District, which includes Middlesex High School, Von E. Mauger Middle School, Woodland Intermediate School, Hazelwood Elementary School, Parker Elementary School, and Watchung Elementary School.

Minimum qualifications include the following:  - Previous certified NJ BCPO Law Enforcement Officer, separated in good standing within the last three years from appointment.  - Must be less than 65 years of age . - Must be a NJ resident with valid NJ Drivers License. - Must pass medical, physical, psychological, and drug evaluations. - Must pass oral interview and personal background investigation
