Job Announcement:
HIRING NOTICE. Special Class I Police Officers
Responsibilities:
- Court security
- Traffic control
- Special event security
- Weather related emergencies
- Other PD assists as needed

Pay: Starting pay range is $20.00 per hour

Job requirements:
- Must be a citizen of the Untied States
- Must be a resident of NJ.
- Must have a valid NJ Driver's License
- Must read, write and speak the English language well and have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, physical and psychological testing
- Must complete SLEO 1 academy at Bergen County Law and Public Safety Institute, Mahwah, NJ, tentatively scheduled for February 2026
