Job Announcement:
WANTED SPECIAL 3 OFFICER FOR FAIR LAWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
The FLPD is looking to hire a part-time SP3 Officer to work within the seven elementary and two middle schools in our town. The person must be retired and had previously been a New Jersey full-time law enforcement officer with no more than a three year break in service. The position entails school safety and security duties and you will carry a firearm. As an accredited agency, the SP3 Officers receive all the training a regular full-time FLPD officer receives yearly. You do not need a SRO certification to be hired for the position but must complete the course within a year of hire date. The starting salary is currently $35.25 and goes to $36.25 in 2026. The position does not come with health coverage.
