Ventnor City - Entry Level Police Officer
Job Announcement:
NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ENTRY LEVEL FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER
The Ventnor City Police Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and a resident of New Jersey
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a High School Diploma or State Certified G.E.D.
- Must be able to read and write the English language proficiently
- Must have no criminal record
- Must be of sound moral character
Certification Requirements:
- Applicants MAY NOT currently possess a Basic Course for Police Officer (BCPO) Certification if they are already employed by a police department.
- New Jersey Certified SLEO II Officers who attended a commingled police academy are also invited to apply.
- Applicants who do not possess a BCPO Certification will be required to attend a certified New Jersey Police Academy upon being hired.
