The North Caldwell Police Department is currently accepting applications only New Jersey PTC Certified Police Officers, No waivers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a United States citizen
Must be a New Jersey resident
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license

Benefits:
- Starting Salary: $50,102 (with Holiday Pay)
Top Step Salary: $142,463 (with Holiday Pay), based on a 9-step salary guide per the PBA Collective Bargaining Agreement
Extra Duty Jobs: Premium pay equal to the top-paid patrol officer, including longevity
Uniform Allowance: Rolled into base pay
Work Schedules:
Patrol: 12-hour shifts (3 days on / 3 days off) 05:00-17:00 / 17:00-05:00
Administrative: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Paid Time Off: Vacation, Sick, Personal, and Scheduled Time Off
EMT Stipend: $600 annually
Education Incentives:
$500 for Associate’s Degree
$1,000 for Bachelor’s Degree
