PENNINGTON BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT
FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER

ONLY FULLY CERTIFIED BCPO AND WAIVER ELIGIBLE CLASS 2 CERTIFICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. INTERVIEWS WILL BE CONDUCTED ON A ROLLING BASIS.
The Pennington Borough Police Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Probationary Police Officer. This job posting is for certified candidates.
Our department is comprised of one lieutenant, one sergeant, one detective, and four patrol officers. We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, proactive and interested in working in a close-knit, community-oriented police department.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States.
- Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license at the time of application.
- Must be between 18 and 35 years of age at the time of appointment.
- Shall have graduated from high school or possess a General Equivalency Degree (GED).
- Ability to perform all the tasks and duties of a Police Officer as per NJ PTC requirements.
- No indictable criminal history conviction and of good moral character.
- Hold a BCPO or waiver eligible Class 2 PTC Certification from an accredited NJ Police Academy.
