TANEYTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Chief of Police

The Taneytown Police Department is currently accepting applications seeking a Chief of Police. The Department currently has a 15-member force in a growing community of approximately 8,000 residents.  Applications will be accepted until September 15, 2023.

SALARY$85,000 to $105,000 depending on qualification

Yearly step increments with acceptable performance evaluations.

REQUIREMENTS:

College degree in criminal justice, public administration or related field, significant professional law enforcement experience as a certified Maryland Law Enforcement Officer, including five (5) years supervisory experience; must have valid driver/operator license. Additional accredited courses in law enforcement as required.
