is currently accepting applications for the position of:

Police Officer

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and no older than 35 years of age;
  • Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States;
  • Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license;
  • Must have at least one of the following:

 

  1. An associate’s degree or have earned 60 credits from an accredited college or university OR
  2. At least 24 months of active military service resulting in an honorable discharge OR
  3. Prior law enforcement experience within the State of New Jersey. 

 

  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently;
  • Must be sound in body and of good health;
  • Must be of good moral character and not convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude;
  • Must be able to pass a medical examination, psychological examination and drug screening;
  • A valid NJ PTC Certification, waiver eligible Class II Certification or current enrollment in a full-time or Class II Police Academy is preferred.
