Internal Opportunity – Palisades Park Police Officer
The Palisades Park Police Department is seeking candidates for the position of police officer. Applications are now being accepted until APRIL 24, 2026. He or she must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have mature and innovative approaches to collaborating with citizens on neighborhood issues, have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under stressful conditions and demonstrate a history of community service. In an effort to match the community we serve; additional consideration will be given to candidates who are bilingual/trilingual.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be between 21 and 35 years of age
• Meet the requirements of and be eligible for membership in the PFRS
• Read, write and speak English
• Be of good moral character
• Free of conviction of a crime constituting an indictable offense or any crime or offense involving moral turpitude.
• All applicants must pass a background investigation.
• Must pass an oral interview, drug test examination, physical assessment, and meet essential job functions.
• Possess a valid NJ Driver License
