POLICE OFFICER
Milford Police department is currently hiring for the position of police officer. Applications will be accepted until the vacancy has been filled. We are currently seeking to fill a full time position for police officer. The written test and physical fitness test will be held on 10/01/16 at 9:00 AM at the Milford Police Department. Check in will begin at 8:00 AM.

GENERAL DUTIES
As a Police officer you will be tasked to perform a wide variety of functions. Police officers will protect the public and property, conduct investigations, make arrests, perform traffic enforcement, patrol specific assigned areas, conduct foot patrols and speak with the public, prepare thorough reports and documents, testify in court, collect and identify evidence of crimes, assist other government and town agencies, transport subjects under arrest or people who require assistance, assist the mentally impaired and intoxicated individuals, and respond to a wide variety of emergency calls.

$41,034-$57,851
MILFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE TOWN OF MILFORD
The town of Milford has approximately 15,200 citizens. Milford Police respond to approximately 11,000 radio dispatched calls per year. The town of Milford is in Hillsborough County which is in southern New Hampshire. Milford has two state highways that run through it, Route 101 and Route 13. The town has a downtown compact area, many shopping plazas, annual festivals and parades. The Milford Police Department has approximately 25 full time officers. Our department has many specialized units. We currently have a Mountain Bike Unit, Detective Division, Accident Reconstruction Team, Field Training Unit, OHRV Unit and a Motorcycle Unit. The Milford Police Department Officers work a 4 days on 3 days off patrol schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a U.S. citizen at time of hiring
- Must be 21 years of age the day the Police Academy begins
- Education requirement is GED or higher
TESTING REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum passing score for the written exam is 70%
- Must pass the 50th percentile Cooper Fitness Standard physical test
