HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT
MEDFORD TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Medford Township Police Department is currently accepting resumes for the position of Police
Officer. The Medford Township Police Department is located in Burlington County and currently
employs 36 full-time police officers. The Department is accredited by the New Jersey State Association
of Chiefs of Police. Applicants should be energetic, willing to learn, and take great pride in the
community they serve. Additional information can be found on recruitment by visiting www.medfordpolice.org. Applicants must minimally possess the following qualifications:
1. Have a valid Basic Police Officer certification from the New Jersey Police Training Commission or
currently enrolled in a N.J. P.T.C. certified police academy. SLEO II waiver candidates and lateral
transfers will be considered.
2. Must be 21 years of age
3. Be a citizen of the United States and the State of New Jersey
4. Be able to read and write the English language
5. Not have been convicted of any violations of the laws of the State of New Jersey or the United
States, except minor traffic offenses, nor shall have been convicted of any crime or offense
involving moral turpitude.
6. Provide proof of a high school diploma or approved high school equivalency certificate.
7. Have a valid New Jersey driver’slicense
8. Submit to a complete background investigation
9. Submit to and successfully pass physical and psychological testing
10. Submit to and successfully pass drug screening
