Physical Agility Exam: Saturday, February 28, 2026 (Harrisburg Area Community College, Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center, 1 HACC Drive, Harrisburg)
Written Exam: Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. (Commonwealth Charter Academy, 1 Innovation Way, Harrisburg)
Deadline to Apply: Friday, February 20, 2026 at Midnight.
**Additional paperwork including the Completed Physician Form (completed by a Physician), Informed Consent Form & a Copy of Applicant’s Birth Certificate (or Naturalization Paperwork if one is not available) MUST be completed and returned in order to be scheduled for a Physical Agility Time Slot.
General Requirements:
- Age - Must be at least 21 years of age by March 29, 2026.
- Citizenship - Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Education - Must have graduated from high school or received a G.E.D., or received an equivalent education acceptable to the Harrisburg Civil Service Commission.
- Driver's License - Must possess a current valid driver's license which has not been restored or suspended since March 29, 2023.
- General - Must be able to perform the essential job functions of Police Officer as defined in the Harrisburg Civil Service Rules and Regulations. You must achieve a 70% on the written test to move on in the process. Submission of a formal application will need to be completed by those who score a 70% or higher.
