CITY OF HARRISBURG POLICE

General Requirements 

  • Age - Must be at least 21 years of age 
  • Citizenship - Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Education - Must have graduated from high school or received a G.E.D., or received an equivalent education acceptable to the Harrisburg Civil Service Commission.
  • Driver's License - Must possess a current valid driver's license which has not been restored or suspended since April 4, 2022.
  • General - Must be able to perform the essential job functions of Police Officer as defined in the Harrisburg Civil Service Rules and Regulations.

You must achieve a 70% on the written test to move on in the process. Submission of a formal application will need to be completed by those who score a 70% or higher.
