We are also accepting lateral candidates.  Lateral candidates are ILEA Tier 1 certified or have equivalent certification from another state.  Lateral Applicants will complete a physical agility test but not the written test.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be US Citizen
Must be at least 21 years of age, but not older than 39 at the time of appointment
High School Diploma or GED
Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License
No felony convictions
Must be able to possess firearms

Written Exam
Oral Interview
Certified Voice Stress Analysis

SALARY for 2025:

Probationary: $65,815.98
Lateral Hires: Up to $72,247.34 (with 3 or more years of service, after FTO)
$6,000 Max Longevity Yearly ($300/year of service at GPD)

The population of Greenfield is 24,000+, we are currently creating a candidate list. We respond to around 25,000 calls a year. The city has a lot of new growth with several trails and parks and is one of the fastest growing counties in the state.
