Grantham PD is located within the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee Region of New Hampshire. 5 full time and 3 part time sworn officers. Full time administrative assistant. Population of 3500 (2023 census). 4884 calls for service (2024). Town encompasses 27.2 square miles and is bisected by Interstate 89. Mixture of seasonal and full-time residents. Award winning elementary school.
Participate in all aspects of law enforcement assignments. Assigned patrol rifles with optics. Optic equipped duty sidearms. Outstanding training to include classes at Sig Sauer, FBI LEEDA, NH PSTC, Daigle Law Group. Relaxed tattoo and facial hair policies. Flexible schedule opportunities. All uniform items supplied by the department.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be age twenty (20) at time of appointment with no felony convictions.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship and possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Completion of college courses, military duty, or relevant work experience is desirable but not required.
- Ability to receive certification by New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council within six (6) months of appointment.

- PT test- As per NH PSTC requirements
