FOP Union Contract

Applicants must:

  1. Be at least 21 years old and of superior moral character;
  2. Be a citizen of the United States of America;
  3. Hold a valid driver’s license
  4. Candidates must not have been convicted of any felony, class A or B misdemeanor, domestic violence crimes, or any act which would constitute perjury or false statement;
  5. A four year college degree in Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or related field, is preferred but not required.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Candidates must:

  1. Pass the C.H.I.P. test at the 40th percentile standard
  2. Pass the C.P.C.A. written test with a score of 70 or greater;
  3. Participate in pre-employment interviews;
  4. Pass a thorough background investigation that will include: a polygraph examination; a psychological interview; and a comprehen­sive medical examination including a drug screening.
  5. Successfully hired candidates shall refrain from tobacco use at any time as a condition of employment.
