Class II Special Officers
The Deal Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Class II Special Officer for the Winter 2026 police academy class. Applicants are required to be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, hold a high school diploma or equivalent and be a resident of New Jersey during the appointment term. Applicants must have a good reputation, be of sound moral character and possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Applicants must undergo an interview and physical fitness evaluation. Final candidates must undergo a complete background investigation, psychological examination and pre-employment drug screening.
