STEP 1: CHIP CARD

All candidates are required to have a CHIP card “to fulfill the physical fitness requirement” prior to the close of the application period. The Connecticut State Police will no longer be offering a physical fitness assessment. For more information and to schedule a date please visit www.certifyfit.com/chip-test.

​Testing for the CHIP card is offered all year round via www.certifyfit.com/chip-test and is valid for 6 months.

​The physical fitness standards for the CHIP card is comprised of the following 4 events: ​​1-Minute Sit Up, 1-Minute Push up, 1.5 Mile Run, 300 Meter Sprint
