Are you ready to serve your community with honor and professionalism? The Clinton Police Department is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as entry-level officers. As a nationally accredited agency through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of law enforcement and community policing. 

 

Position Details:

We are currently accepting applications for full-time Police Officers

 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s Degree preferred)

Valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator’s License

At least 21 years of age

U.S. Citizen

Good character and high moral standards

Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, polygraph, medical and psychological examinations, as well as physical agility and written tests

Ability to attend a POSTC Academy to receive the comprehensive training necessary to become a certified Police Officer.

Competitive Salary & Benefits:

Current Salary Range of Patrol Officers: $67,548.22 to $84,584.86

Starting Salary on 07/01/2025: $69,068.05

Top Step Pay on 01/01/2026: $88,650.22

Patrol Schedule: Officers operate on a dynamic 4-2 rotating schedule, working four consecutive days followed by two days off, ensuring optimal coverage and flexibility.
