City of Mason Police Department, OH Police Jobs

The City of Mason is served by a full-service, fully-accredited municipal police agency. The department has a Chief of Police, 2 Assistant Chiefs of Police, lieutenants, sergeants, officers (including two K-9 officers, a School Resource Officer, and a D.A.R.E. officer), and detectives. The department operates four community policing patrol districts to which officers are assigned on a permanent basis for periods of 12 months.

AGENCY BACKGROUND

The City of Mason police department is an experienced department both in the profession and within the city. Officer employment with the city ranges from four years to 30 years or more. The department maintains an in-service training program for all personnel, including a tuition reimbursement program and an academic pay incentive to encourage officers to obtain baccalaureate and advanced degrees.

The City of Mason Police Department is an internationally accredited police agency. Approximately 500 law enforcement agencies have achieved this distinction worldwide. The Mason Police Department is voluntarily measuring up to a body of standards representing the highest professional levels.
