City of Lilburn Police Department, GA Police Jobs

The City of Lilburn is accepting applications for Police Officer. 

The City provides first-class municipal services with small-town customer attention. Our 14,000-plus residents enjoy a thriving local economy, highly professional and enhanced police protection, outstanding recreational facilities, and some of the best schools in the country. Lilburn is strategically situated in southwestern Gwinnett County less than 20 miles from downtown Atlanta with a significant daytime population.  The Lilburn Police Department has 37 sworn positions and 14 civilian support staff positions.  

Lilburn Police Officers work a 12-hour shift with every other weekend off.  LPD Officers also are provided a take-home vehicle; primary weapon systems which include Glock 47 MOS duty pistols with Trijicon RCR optics, Sionics 5.56 SBR patrol rifles w/suppressor, less-lethal shotgun, Taser 10 ECW, MDT, body worn camera, uniforms, outer carrier ballistic vest and more.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Must be a U. S. Citizen
  • 18 years of age to be eligible for Georgia P.O.S.T. certification;
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation including criminal, controlled substance, credit, driving, and work history.

 

Special Requirements

  • Applicants must pass a series of pre-employment tests and interviews.
  • Once selected, individuals must complete all P.O.S.T. Certification requirements.
