Town of Avon - Police Officer
The Town of Avon is recruiting for the open competitive position of full-time Police Officer. Starting salary range is $60,377 (base starting salary) to $62,827 annually depending upon eligibility for educational pay incentives.
Position is eligible for Town benefits including Defined Contribution pension, medical and dental insurance, 13 paid holidays, vacation and sick leave as well as other benefits.
Avon is a Connecticut Police Chiefs Association (CPCA) participating Department. To be eligible to take the CPCA written examination qualified candidates will need to:
Obtain a current/valid C.H.I.P. card,
Register on policeapp.com. Once you pass the CPCA test and have obtained a minimum passing score of 70% you must complete an employment application on policeapp.com/avon.
Closing dates for the written examination will be posted on policeapp.com once established.
