DISPATCHERS
The Township of Washington Police Department has a Full-Time Dispatcher position available immediately. Shifts are 12 hour pitman, day tour. Applying candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Is a citizen of the United States.
- Is a resident of New Jersey and possesses a valid NJ driver’s license.
- Is able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently.
- Has a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). (Please upload your higher education transcripts at application time.)
- Is of good moral character and sound body, and in good health.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Has not been convicted of any offense involving dishonesty or which would make the person unfit to perform the duties of the office.
- Is a certified Telecommunicator.
Preference will be given to candidates that contain any of the following criteria:
- EMDT Certified
- Bilingual or Spanish speaking.
Experience not needed, but preferred.
Salary Range: $40,000 - $49,000, based on experience, with 96 paid holiday hours per year.
