PALISADES INTERSTATE PARKWAY POLICE DEPARTMENT
IS SEEKING
Full-time Security Officers
The Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department is interested in hearing from individuals for the position of Security Officer. Security Officers are sometimes selected to be promoted to the Police Officer Title. PTC Certified, Alternate Route, and Class II officers are encouraged to apply.
Minimum mandatory requirements:
A resident of New Jersey or New York
Minimum of 18 years of age
United States Citizen
Valid High School Diploma (or GED)
Valid Driver’s License
GENERAL DUTIES
Security Officers working within the Palisades Interstate Park are responsible for general security patrol functions such as:
- Detect and Report incidents of all types during their course of work.
- Treat and aid medical emergencies
- Court Security duties
- Bicycle patrol
- Patrol non-highway areas of the Palisades Interstate Park Commission Properties
- Marine Operations Crew Member
- Search and Rescue
- Traffic Control
- Related work as required
- Radio Dispatcher

Retirement/Pension
Full-time security officers of the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department participate in the New Jersey Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).
The $25 registration fee, is a fee charged for processing by PoliceApp.com.
