CLINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
EMERGENCY TELECOMMUNICATOR
(Dispatcher)
Salary Grade: $23.09/hour
Position Overview:
The Town of Clinton currently has an opening for a full-time Emergency Services Telecommunicator. This position receives both routine and emergency calls form the public and dispatches Police, Fire and EMS services in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment..
This position has attractive salary and benefits, which include:

- Current salary range: $23.09/hr. to $27.89/hr.
Essential Job Functions:
- Control phones, radios, dispatch fire, police and EMS
- Call prioritization
- Field questions from general public walking into the lobby
- Handle routing and emergency calls to the Clinton Police Department
- Must be able to work in a fast pace multi-task environment
Requirements:
- Have a high school diploma of G.E.D.
- Ability to work overtime is a must.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong verbal communications skills.
- Ability to remain calm and function under high-stress emergency situations.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Preference will be given to those applicants whom are currently certified as Emergency Telecommunicators.
