                                                           EMERGENCY TELECOMMUNICATOR

Salary Grade: $26.51 - $32.02 per hour

Position Overview:

The Town of Clinton currently has an opening for full-time Emergency Services Telecommunicators. This position receives both routine and emergency calls form the public and dispatches Police, Fire and EMS services in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment..

Essential Job Functions:

• Control phones, radios, dispatch fire, police and EMS
• Call prioritization
• Field questions from general public walking into the lobby
• Handle routing and emergency calls to the Clinton Police Department
• Must be able to work in a fast pace multi-task environment
   

Requirements:

• Have a high school diploma of G.E.D.
• Ability to work overtime is a must.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong verbal communications skills.
• Ability to remain calm and function under high-stress emergency situations.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
   

Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently certified as Emergency Telecommunicators.
