JOB SUMMARY:
Jail Nurses provide a full range of nursing services to inmates in the Walton County Jail, including assessing patients, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the medical condition of inmates.
This is a Part-time nursing position, hours will vary and will be on an as needed basis, and this position is will not be eligible for benefits.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a current licensure with the Florida Board of Nursing as a License Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Certification as an intravenous technician and certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation is preferred.
HIRING PROCESS:
Applicants may be required to successfully complete:
- Background investigation which includes, but is not limited to: criminal check, driving check, credit check, and previous employment check.
- Polygraph Examination
- Panel Interview
- Drug Screen including nicotine panel
