GRANTS MANAGER

OCCUPATIONAL PROFILE:

POSITION TITLE: Grants Manager

CLOSING DATE: Until Filled

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: Minimum annual salary of $50,000.00 or commensurate with experience

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking qualified applicants for the position of Grant’s Manager.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage and support the grants requirement and implementation for the Agency.
  • Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grant’s administration process.
  • Apply for/write grants for the Agency while consulting with Executive staff to determine needs and objectives.
  • Perform relevant research to identify available grant opportunities and evaluate the results.
  • Oversee if the grants are implemented according to the operational and financial needs of the Agency.
  • Implement and track deadlines and deliverables for grant compliance and completion.
  • Work with the Finance department for invoicing, accounting and reporting for successful execution of the grant process.
  • Prepare financial and budget plans with the Finance department in accordance with each grant requirement.
  • Prepare/monitor documents related to grant-funded programs.
  • Maintain records of all payments and receivables and prepare monthly records for all grant-related
  • Provide training to staff on grants management and reporting requirements where needed.
  • Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good understanding of the Agency’s overall objectives
  • Ability to work with a team and provide support to staff
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results on time with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using computers with related knowledge of software programs and internet.

Minimum Training and Experience:

  • Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Applicant must have prior experience with managing a grants portfolio.
  • Preference will be given to applicants that have certifications from recognized institutes with specialized courses in grants management.
