Job Description

PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: Riverton Borough Police, Burlington County, NJ is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to work 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM to provide administrative support involving the handling of confidential information and other materials of sensitive nature. The applicant will assist the Borough of Riverton Police Department with day-to-day procedures including but not limited to the following:

  • Administrative support to the police chief including managing records
  • Data entry into police databases (familiarity with Tyler/New World Systems and NIBRS preferred)
  • Responding to requests for public records
  • Prepare discovery for Municipal Court proceedings
  • Clerical tasks including answering telephones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments and maintaining the filing system
  • Manage logistics and supplies for the police department
  • Handle social media platforms

Candidates must have an excellent written/verbal command of the English language, strong organizational and time management skills, competent computer keyboarding skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A successful candidate must undergo a background check.  

Hourly rate range is $19.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience. Please submit a cover letter and resume to Chief Andrew Beuschel by October 31, 2024.
