POST-C Certified Police Officer

Western New England University is a picturesque private New England university located in the 16-Acres section of Springfield, Massachusetts.

The Western New England University Police Department adopts a hybrid model with fully sworn and certified University Police Officers that work in conjunction with non-sworn civilian Community Service Officers. Together, we operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Salary: 

$28.85 to $30.75 an hour depending on experience and qualifications

Shift Differential 

Officer in Charge compensation - additional $2.00 per hour

Qualification Standards:

Must be MPTC Post-C certified as a full-time Massachusetts police officer.

Experience as a police officer is preferred.

Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or related field of study preferred.
