Full Time Police Officer
Civil Service Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT), Alternate Route Recruits, Special II Officers
The Wanaque Police Department is actively seeking to hire dedicated, full-time police officers to join our patrol division. Our patrol shifts are structured on a 12-hour schedule following the Pitman Schedule. Our force comprises 25 dedicated officers. Patrol officers work on a 12-hour Pitman schedule.
About Us:
- Population: 11,500
- Open Positions: We have openings for 4-5 officers.
- Impressive Stats: In 2022, our department recorded 33,000 CAD entries.
- Equipment: Each officer is provided with their own assigned patrol rifle, and they have the option to use red dot sights on their pistols. We offer a clothing allowance and numerous outside contractor job opportunities at a rate of $85 per hour.
Hiring Process:
Candidates will undergo a comprehensive evaluation process, including medical and psychological assessments, as well as a thorough background investigation and interview.
