The Spring Lake Heights Police Department is accepting applications for Patrol Officer
Candidates applying must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Possess a valid Basic Police Officer certification or waivable SLEO II certification or an Alternate Route certificate of graduation from the New Jersey Police Training Certification
- United States Citizen
- Be between 21 and 35 years of age.
- Must have graduated from High School or possess a General Equivalency Degree (G.E.D.)
- Be able to read, write and speak the English language well
- Possess the ability to perform all tasks and duties required of a police officer.
- Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
- Must NOT have any indictable criminal history convictions and must be of good moral character.
- Successfully complete psychological and medical examination
- Successfully pass a drug screening test
- Pass a thorough background investigation
