SOMERVILLE (NJ) POLICE DEPARTMENT

IS NOW HIRING FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • NJ Resident
  • 18-35 Years of Age
  • Valid NJ Driver’s License
  • High School Graduate (or GED)
  • Must possess a NJ PTC Basic Course for Police Officers certification OR currently attending a NJ police academy as an Alternate Route Recruit
  • IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Candidates requiring a PTC waiver and Non-Certified candidate applications WILL NOT be accepted.
  • Applications from candidates that are CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AND ATTENDING a NJ Police Academy Basic Course for Police Officers course as an Alternate Route Recruit WILL BE accepted.
  • Applicants are to upload a copy of their current resume and cover letter addressed to the attention of Chief Dennis Manning.
