RIDGEFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
CT P.O.S.T. CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER
Open Position: Police Officer – The Ridgefield Police Department is accepting applications from both entry level and certified police officers for the position of Police Officer.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess Connecticut P.O.S.T. Certification as a Police Officer, must be at least 21 years of age, must be a U.S. Citizen must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D., and must possess a valid driver's license.

Description:
Applicants must be eligible to meet all requirements established by POSTC and the Ridgefield Police Department.
Salary/Benefits:
- Salary $68,696 to $103,181 (Top step July 2022). 13 paid holidays, Defined Contribution Retirement Plan, Paid Vacation Days, Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Shift Differential, Tuition Assistance.
Selection Process:
The selection process will include, at minimum, successful completion of:
- Written Examination (CT POLICE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION (CPCA) CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER WRITTEN TEST REQUIRED)
- Oral Board Examination
- Police Commission Oral Board Interview
- CHIP Test - Physical Ability Assessment
- Polygraph Examination
- Psychological Assessment
- Medical Examination/Drug Screening, Stress Test, Eye Exam
- Extensive Background Investigation
