NJPTC Certified Police Officers
The Readington Township Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full time police officer.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- At least 18 years of age and less than 35 years of age.
- Resident of the State of New Jersey at the time of appointment
- Good moral character and temperament
- Good physical condition
- Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license at time of appointment
- Applicants must:
• Possess a New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification for Basic Course for Police Officers (BCPO);
• Possess a New Jersey PTC Certification for Basic Course for Special Law Enforcement Officers Class Two (SLEO II) and are waiver eligible; or
• Currently be attending an active New Jersey Police Training Commission certified academy and anticipate receiving one of the above listed certifications (BCPO or SLEO II).
• Possess at least 60 college credits or have 4 years military experience.
