RARITAN BOUROUGH POLICE
NOW HIRING
CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICERS
Applicants must possess a New Jersey Police Training Commission Basic Course for Police Officers Certification, or possess a Class II Certification that is eligible to receive a waiver from the New Jersey Police Training Commission. Recruits currently attending a police academy may apply. Corrections officers and out of state officers are not eligible. Lateral transfers may be negotiated.
Employment Requirements
-Be a citizen of the United States and resident of the State of New Jersey
-Be 21 years of age; no more than 35 years of age
-Be of good moral character and never have been convicted of a crime or any offense involving moral turpitude
-Be sound in body and mind and eligible for membership in the Police and Firemen's Retirement System of New Jersey
-Be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently
-Possess a valid New Jersey passenger car driver's license
-Be a high school graduate
-Pass a medical examination
-Pass a psychological or psychiatric examination
-Must be certified to be a NJ police officer
